2. Referral & Scheduling
HumanMind Health accepts referrals from private and NHS clinicians including GPs, Psychiatrists, Psychologists & Psychotherapists and from individuals wishing to self-refer. Before confirming a booking for a New Patient Assessment with us, we will ask you to complete a brief patient registration form with your contact details and any past or current mental health concerns you feel we should know about. We may also ask you for any relevant clinical documentation such as a referral letter from a treating clinician. Any information provided as part of the referral is reviewed by Dr Hillier, and a response provided usually within 2 working days of receipt.
Sometimes we may be unable to accept a referral where it is outside the scope of our service ( e.g. a minor), or where we believe another service provider would be better able to meet the needs identified. When this occurs, we aim to clearly explain our reasons and suggest a suitable alternative.
For New Patients, the first appointment with HumanMind Health will take up to two hours during which time a comprehensive assessment will be made. Any unused time in this appointment will be credited to your account for any future appointments. You will be contacted by the booking team to arrange a convenient time for your New Patient Assessment. The duration and frequency of any follow up appointments will be agreed between you and Dr Hillier and/or the booking team.
Once booked, you will be sent confirmation by email with an Information Sharing Consent Form. An invoice for the consultation will follow, also by email which must be settled in full at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled booking to avoid cancellation unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance.
3. Consultation Fees
HumanMind Health charge £500p/h for all appointments with a doctor. Where you ask us to discuss your care with a third party such as your GP, a parent/guardian or therapist, this will be charged at the same rate. Follow up appointments may be made in 30 minute increments and this will be agreed with you during scheduling.
Fees are outlined below. VAT is not charged on these services:
· New Patient Assessment (1hr) - £500
· New Patient Assessment (2hrs) - £1000
· Follow Up Appointment (30 mins) - £250
· Follow Up Appointment (60 mins) - £500
· Follow Up Appointment (90 mins) - £750
· Follow Up Appointment (120 mins) - £1000
All appointments must be paid for in full at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time unless otherwise agreed in writing or the appointment may be cancelled.
4. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Failure to Attend (DNA)
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy for all appointments unless otherwise agreed in writing. Cancellations may be made by contacting the reservations team by telephone or email using the contact details above. Cancellations made with more than 48 hours notice will be refunded, credited to the client account, or rebooked according to client preference. Appointments cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled time will not be eligible for a refund or credit and cannot be rescheduled. Any subsequent appointments made will incur a new consultation fee.
If you fail to attend your appointment on the scheduled date and time, the full consultation fee will be charged and no refund or rescheduling will be offered unless cancelled or rescheduled more than 48 hours in advance, as per the cancellation policy. When running late for an appointment, we request that you notify the reservations team by telephone or email as soon as possible with
an estimated time of arrival. We will do our very best to be flexible but we are unable to credit or refund any time lost. The doctor may be unable to see you if you are than 20 minutes late and have not notified us. Appointments missed in this situation will also be unable to be rescheduled or refunded.
